Guitarist Peter Banks passed away at his home in London on March 8. He was 65 years old. Banks, best known as a founding member of Yes, first met up with future Yes bassist Chris Squire as part of the dynamic psychedelic band the Syn. After the band split, the duo stayed together, and within a year, had formed Yes. Though later replaced by Steve Howe in the band he christened, his guitar style helped drive the early days of the band. After leaving Yes, Banks formed Flash and pursued a solo career.
