Vinnie Vincent Auctioning Off Everything from His Clothes to His Copyrights
If you've ever wanted to own one of Vinnie Vincent's guitars, or simply dress like him, now's your chance. The former Kiss guitarist is selling many items from his personal collection.
Metal Sucks has found that Vincent has set up an auction section at his website and, at present time, has 24 items up for sale. This ranges from the Jackson Shark Fin guitar -- his primary instrument during his Kiss years -- to the belt he wore on the cover of 'Lick It Up.' Guitars and stage/video outfits from the Vinnie Vincent Invasion era can also be purchased.
It's not just guitars and apparel that are available. He's also selling off the copyrights to the 21 songs that appeared on two Vinnie Vincent Invasion albums, their 1986 debut and the follow-up, 'All Systems Go.' But the most interesting artifact for sale has to be the unsigned employment contract which, as the listing says, led to "decades of controvery between Vinnie and Kiss."
However, don't expect a bargain to be found here. Bidding for the contract, one of the cheaper items on the site, starts at $10,000, and the copyrights can be had for as little as $200,000. Even a pair of jeans he wore backstage during Kiss' 1983 concert at the Maracana in Rio de Janeiro will run you $2,500. That's nearly the price of a Kiss Kasket.
