Ted Nugent’s latest Rock & Roll Hall of Fame outburst drew a reaction from two-time inductee David Crosby, who said Nugent is “not good enough” to receive the honor.

Eligible since 2000, Nugent has slammed the establishment for years, and most recently said it was “the most outrageous and disgusting lie” that he’d never been nominated. He added that he “would like you to find a human being … and believe them when they say Ted Nugent should not be in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame? I would love to witness that exchange. You would see a person almost melt with guilt because you know they are lying.”

Crosby – inducted as a member of the Byrds and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young –appeared to take him up on his assertion when he responded to UCR’s coverage of the story. “That is really funny stuff,” he tweeted. “He’s not good enough and he never will be … a hack player and no singer at all.” He added that Nugent “could not write a decent song if his life depended on it.”

The pair has crossed swords before. In April 2017, Crosby shared a picture of Nugent and Donald Trump at the White House and wrote, “This picture says it all … the two most insincere smiles in history. What a pair of assholes.” In response, Nugent called him “kind of a lost soul, and he’s done so much substance abuse throughout his life that his logic meter is gone. … I feel quite sad for the guy.”

In August of the same year, Crosby reacted after Nugent blamed his lack of induction into the Rock Hall on political correctness and his membership in the NRA. That led to Crosby responding, “No, the asshole just isn’t good enough,” replying “Nope” when asked if even “Cat Scratch Fever” wasn’t worthy of the Hall of Fame. Nugent reacted by calling Crosby a “bloated chemical repository carcass” who “desperately seeks hygiene.”

Update - Nugent has responded to Crosby's latest critiques with a Facebook post of his own:
