Gov't Mule's ongoing 20th anniversary celebration will include a series of special archival live releases -- including the long-awaited official release of 'Sco-Mule,' a recording of the band's 1999 concerts with guitarist John Scofield.
Tedeschi Trucks Band and Gov't Mule closed out day three of Mountain Jam with a familiar yet somehow still thrilling pair of performances that featured huge, emotive guitar jams.
Initially thought of as a side project for the Allman Brothers Band's Warren Haynes and Allen Woody, Gov't Mule quickly established itself as an entity unto itself. In fact, twice now Haynes has quit the Allmans in order to focus on the ever-intriguing Gov't Mule, most recently in January 2014.
The 10th annual Mountain Jam Festival will take place at the Hunter Mountain ski resort in Hunter, N.Y., from June 5-8. The initial lineup for the fest has just been revealed. An additional major headliner is reportedly still to be announced.
