Styx + REO Speedwagon + Ted Nugent – 2012 Summer Tour Guide

A triple threat from the heartland! Styx, Ted Nugent and REO Speedwagon are bringing an overload of classic rock hits with their 'Midwest Rock 'N Roll Express' tour, which leaves the station May 1 in Hidalgo, Texas and winds up in Gilford, N.Y on July 7. You can buy tickets over on Mr. Nugent's official website. (And probably on the other bands' sites too, but hey, he's the one with the guns, you know?)

Now, we're not supposed to reveal personal biases here on the site, but how on earth can REO Speedwagon, or anybody for that matter, be expected to follow Ted Nugent on stage? For some reason, the Motor City Madman is penciled in as the opener throughout the trek. 'Stranglehold' in the daylight just doesn't seem right to us.
