Slipknot have released a second song from their upcoming album We Are Not Your Kind. The new "Solway Firth" follows first single "Unsainted"; you can listen to it below.

We Are Not Your Kind arrives on Aug. 9 as the follow-up to 2014's.5: The Gray Chapter. As percussionist Shawn "Clown" Crahan explained, the time spent writing and recording the LP will be reflected in the final product.

"These days, the art we are making comes with the highest reward, because it’s taken the most time," he said when the album was announced. "Almost four years to create this emotion and temperature, and the reward now is nothing short of salvation.”

“This is the most time we’ve had to write a record, and work stuff out together,” guitarist Jim Root added. “One of my inspirations this time around was those artists that recorded full length albums – not just songs. While the industry is moving toward singles, Slipknot wanted to make an album experience, front to back.”

We Are Not Your Kind marks Slipknot's first record without percussionist Chris Fehn, whose departure was announced in March. Even though the band has filled his spot, the musician's name wasn't announced. “The position you may or may not be talking about is nobody’s fucking business,” Crahan said. “The proof is in the pudding.”

Slipknot will launch the Knotfest Roadshow starting on Friday at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, Calif. Shows will run through Sept. 8, when they wrap up at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion at the Woodlands, Texas.
