Heavy metal legends Saxon are giving Ultimate Classic Rock readers an exclusive premiere of the band's lyric video for brand new song, "Queen of Hearts."

The track will be featured on the British group's upcoming album, Battering Ram, which arrives Oct. 30 and follows the quintet's recent U.S. tour in support of Motorhead. On a few occasions, Biff Byford and the group stepped up as headliners, when Lemmy's ailing health forced the cancellation of select performances.

Luckily, being the wily veterans that they are, Saxon were more than up to the task, having first toured with Motorhead some 35 years earlier, when their career as leaders of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal was just getting under way. Now, all of these decades later, Saxon are globally renowned as one of metal's most dependable standard bearers, and the dramatic, mid-paced "Queen of Hearts" gives every indication that this will be another winning chapter in the band's ongoing history.

Back in August, Saxon released the video for the title track. “This one’s a natural progression from [Saxon’s 2013 release] Sacrifice,” Byford said of the album. “There’s a bit less rock ’n’ roll and a bit more ‘heavy’ on it. We wanted to keep focused on a style rather than moving around too much.”

So have a look and be sure you pick up a copy of Battering Ram on Oct. 30, or pre-order it now on Amazon, or via iTunes to receive “Battering Ram,” as an immediate download.
