A lot of people are excited about Rush's return later this month, and we may get a little deeper into the mindset behind the new 'Clockwork Angels' album with a radio special coinciding with the release.

Rush fan site RushIsABand reports that beginning the week of June 11, an hour-long radio special from FMQB Productions called 'Inside Rush: Clockwork Angels' will air on stations around the country and be available online via SoundCloud.

Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan, who recently did his own session with FMQB, will reportedly host the program, during which he'll speak with Rush members Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson.

When Corgan himself was interviewed late last year, he said he's a major prog rock fan and cited its influence over Smashing Pumpkins' new album. You can listen to him list off some of his favorite prog records and discuss the genre's influence over his 'Oceania' album in the sit-down he did with Matt Pinfield on the FMQB site (go to track 6).

As for Rush, Geddy Lee has already revealed 'Clockwork Angels' will be a "return to basics" and have "more of a three-piece feel to it" than some of the band's other recent albums. If you're dying to hear it before its June 12 release date, you can check out 30-second track previews on the Walmart website.
