Paul McCartney leads a recent Pollstar list of the 10 most expensive concert tickets in America, with an average ticket price of $145.72 calculated for seats at all of his shows over the past year. Fellow classic rockers such as Roger Waters and Neil Young (who we think is worth every penny) were right behind McCartney.

Cher (didn't she retire, like, several times already?) came in at No. 2, followed by a murderer's row of our favorite rock stars: Waters, with his hi-tech touring production of 'The Wall,' in third place at $125.71; Young, decidedly on the other side of the spectrum in terms of stage equipment, No. 4 at $109.71; and the hair-gel loving Rod Stewart at No. 5 with $108.71.

Stevie Nicks, who recently toured with Stewart, was seventh ($105.62), and the Eagles hit No. 9 with an average ticket price of $101.73.  Here's the list, courtesy of Digital Music News.
