Osbourne Family Mourns Loss of Beloved Chihuahua on Christmas

It was a little bit less of a merry Christmas for Ozzy Osbourne and his family Sunday (Dec. 25) -- Ozzy's daughter Kelly reported via her Twitter page yesterday that the family's beloved chihuahua Martin died.

Kelly's post read: "today is a sad day in the Osbourne family house hold we lost R dog martin of 14 years. Devastated does not quite sum it up! #NotSoMerryXmas."

Featured prominently on the family's reality TV show 'The Osbournes,' Martin was "a sophisticated little creature" who was "professionally known as Martini Bianco," Ozzy's wife Sharon wrote on her the "pets" section of her personal website. "Shunning the affection of women, Martin prefers the love of a good man," Sharon continued.

Martin was part of a rather large family of pets -- Sharon has pictures and names listed for no less than 13 dogs on her website, many of them with personal bios as well. Martin's siblings included Storm, Rocky, Two Face, Bella, Lola and Maggie.

Despite the sad news, Kelly was able to stay in relatively good spirits. Later that day in a tweet to friends and fans, she wrote: "'Peace on earth will come to stay, When we live Christmas every day!'"
