What more can be said about this thrash masterpiece? When Metallica dropped their third album in 1986 the landscape of heavy metal was forever changed.

It's considered by many old-school (i.e. pre-'Enter Sandman') fans to be the group's best album, and that's hard to could argue when you have tracks like the alternately calm and furious 'Welcome Home (Sanatarium)' and the unparalleled opening one-two punch of 'Battery' and the crushingly precise title track.

Tragically, this is also the last album to feature the brilliant bass mastery of Cliff Burton before his untimely death. So sit back, crank it to 11 and see if you have what it takes to pick the best song off 'Master of Puppets.'
