Marshall Tucker Band Announce 2016 ‘Long Hard Ride’ Tour
The Marshall Tucker Band have loaded up their 2016 concert calendar with a lengthy tour they're calling the Long Hard Ride.
As longtime fans will no doubt realize, the new tour's name is a reference to the band's 1976 album, but the dates actually commemorate an even more impressive anniversary: This year marks the Marshall Tucker Band's 45th year as a live act. You can check out the complete list of currently scheduled shows below.
"I look back at it all now and just think, 'wow,'" says singer Doug Gray in a press release. "We've been doing this for 45 years and every year I get more excited about getting back out there to start a new tour. We wouldn't still be here if not for all the fans, young and old, who keep coming to see us every night. We love you all … here's to this year's Long Hard Ride!"
With this year already booked solid, the group is also building out its 2017 dates, starting with an appearance on the Rock Legends Cruise V between Jan. 19-23 of next year. The Marshall Tucker Band's most recent release, Live! From Spartanburg, South Carolina, arrived in 2013.
