Kiss Opens Miniature Golf Course in Las Vegas
Whether you love or hate them for it, there's no denying that the guys in Kiss have embraced rock merchandising like no other band -- but their latest licensing deal is literally full of holes.
Say hello to the Kiss by Monster Mini Golf Course, which recently brought what the band's press release referred to as "18 holes of rock" to Vegas. The indoor course, located across from the Hard Rock Hotel, includes such typically over-the-top amenities as a laser light show, band members' heads popping out of boxes, and all the black lights anyone could ever ask for.
And hey, if you don't like miniature golf, no big deal -- you can just stroll over to the arcade (complete with Kiss pinball machine, natch), dine at the Rock 'n Roll All Nite Cafe, or -- because this is Vegas, after all -- get hitched to that special someone in the Hotter Than Hell Wedding Chapel. Truly, this is the sort of Kissariffic attraction that fans have been clamoring for.
Never ones to pass up a press conference, the current members of Kiss (Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Eric Singer, and Tommy Thayer) turned out for the grand opening on Thursday (March 15). And it's a good thing, too, because it finally gave someone the chance to ask Simmons what his "favorite hole" is.
So if you've ever dreamed of sinking an 18th-hole putt into a giant replica of Gene Simmons' outstretched tongue, your ship has finally come in. Take a look at the video below and head for Vegas.
