Joe Satriani and Zakk Wylde to Play Marshall Amps, ’50 Years of Loud’ Concert
For 50 years many of the world's best rock guitarists have chosen to use Marshall amplifiers, and on Sept. 22 they'll celebrate their love for this equipment. Joe Satriani, Zakk Wylde and members of Iron Maiden and Whitesnake are on the bill for the 50 Years of Loud concert at London's Wembley Arena.
Iron Maiden drummer Nicko McBrain is helping coordinate the schedule for the event. According to a press release from Live Nation, the family friend of Marshall founder Jim Marshall is planning an all-day festival, complete with Marshall exhibits and products from the past half-century.
"Words cannot describe how pioneering Marshall is," McBrain says. "We’re bringing together beyond-legendary artists for a moment in history. Expect pure rock n roll madness amplified to the max by Marshall!”
Also confirmed for the show are Mr. Big's Paul Gilbert, Whitesnake's Doug Aldrich and Brian Tichy, The Cult's Billy Duffy and Slipknot singer Corey Taylor. Tickets go on sale this Friday (March 9) at 9AM GMT or 4AM ET through Live Nation.
Other artists are expected to be announced at a later date.
