Heart Announce Initial Tour Dates For 2012

If you’re ready to “kick it out,” we’ve got good news – Ann and Nancy Wilson will take Heart back on the road with a newly announced set of headlining tour dates for the spring and summertime.

It’s a good hunch that new music might be part of the touring equation – when we spoke with Ann last year, they were beginning to work on a follow-up to their 2010 ‘Red Velvet Car’ release during some downtime on their tour with Def Leppard. The sisters have also been keeping busy working on an official memoir.

Sounding very inspired, Wilson called the new material “more developed” and she said that it would probably be “more rock I think, this time.”

The Heart tour dates begin on Mar. 11 with two shows at the House of Blues in Houston and are currently set to wrap up on Sept. 10 in Puyallup, Wash. It’s a relatively small batch of shows which makes it seem very likely that additional shows and perhaps a larger tour will be announced soon.
