Scheduling another opportunity for fans of the Grateful Dead to congregate nationally, the legendary San Francisco group will reach deep into the vaults to screen a previously unreleased concert performance for the first time ever.

Let’s face it, your parents probably would have been none too thrilled back in the day to hear that you had plans to attend an event called the ‘Grateful Dead Meet-Up At The Movies.’ Luckily, you control your own destiny as a grownup now. For the second annual version of this visual get-together, you’ll most definitely want to make sure that you have the evening free.

Thursday, April 19 at 7pm, Deadheads will gather nationwide at participating theaters for an evening with the Dead, this time going on a "trip" -- pardon the pun -- back to the Alpine Valley Music Theatre, one of the band’s favorite locations, for a memorable evening of music captured live on July 18, 1989.

This was the Dead show directly following the well known and previously released ‘Downhill from Here’ performance. The Dead followed up that memorable night with two and a half hours of live favorites including ‘Touch of Grey,’ ‘Bird Song,’ ‘Eyes of the World’ and many more.

Fathom Events is handling ticketing for this event and you can watch a trailer for the performance below.
