Queensryche vocalist Geoff Tate has announced the title and release date for his long-anticipated second solo album. The singer-songwriter and front man will release 'Kings & Thieves' on Nov. 6 via InsideOut Music.

Tate states that unlike his first, 2002 solo venture, 'Kings & Thieves' focuses on the kind of harder elements fans have come to expect from the Queensryche singer. "My goal with this record was to make a solid rock album," he says in a press release. "I wanted it to be an album that I could play live that would be both satisfying and fun, because, as a singer, you need to create a show that has a lot of dynamics to it and takes people on a ride."

The singer will tour behind the new album beginning Oct. 17, including a string of seven dates in Canada with Alice Cooper. He will wrap up his year with a six-day voyage as part of Shiprocked, but fans don't need to worry that he'll be sitting around bored after that -- Tate recently announced that he's recruited an all-star lineup for his own new version of Queensryche, while his former band mates are also continuing to work under that name.
