The Doors’ Debut Album Gets the Deluxe Treatment – 50th Anniversary Collection Available Now
It’s the 50th anniversary of The Doors and today, Rhino Records is releasing a 50th anniversary deluxe edition of the band’s self-titled, groundbreaking debut album.
Widely considered to be one of the all-time-classic rock and roll debuts, The Doors (50th Anniversary Deluxe Edition) is a three-CD and one-LP set that includes the original, 1967 stereo and mono mixes – each on CD. The original mono mix makes its CD debut and is featured on the LP. Disc three, sourced from recently discovered, original master tapes, offers a rare opportunity to hear a band on the verge of superstardom with live performances recorded at the Matrix in San Francisco just weeks after The Doors was released. Featuring their first No. 1 hit, “Light My Fire," this deluxe edition is packaged in a 12”x12” hardcover book and includes liner notes by music journalist David Fricke and rare band photographs.
The Doors (50th Anniversary Deluxe Edition) is available now at www.thedoors.com, Amazon, Apple Music, Spotify and your local music retailer.
