Rock supergroup Chickenfoot have announced a tour to support their new album 'Chickenfoot III,' which hits stores on Tuesday (Sept. 27). It's actually more of mini-tour, just enough to leave fans outside of America's biggest cities feeling a little jealous.

Fortunately the Sammy Hagar fronted group have also announced they'll be doing a free live concert webcast on the night of the album's release. 'Chickenfoot Presents 'III'' will go down at the TRI Studios in California at 9PM ET on Sept. 27. In addition to performing the songs from the new album, the band will take 30 minutes to answer fan questions. Visit their website to view the broadcast and to submit questions to be answered.

The album has gotten positive reviews thus far with comparisons made to both Led Zeppelin and John Mellencamp. Guitarist Joe Satriani's role is much more intertwined with the others (bassist Michael Anthony and drummer Chad Smith) on this album, and the foursome covers a wide variety of sounds, most with surprising success. As previously reported, superfans of Chickenfoot can order a special Fan Pack edition of the album.
