The third Metal Masters show is tonight in Los Angeles and Black Sabbath bassist Geezer Butler is rumored to be making an appearance. The show, at the Key Club on the Sunset Strip, follows last fall's New York City show.

Blabbermouth reports Phil Anselmo of Pantera and Down fame is also rumored to be joining members of Anthrax, Megadeth, and Slayer. At last year's Metal Masters show, Anselmo performed two Pantera hits.

In addition to being a pretty great rock show, the Metal Masters series gives artists a chance to collaborate with each other and show off their individual techniques. They also have an opportunity to share how hit songs are created, and tell the stories behind the recording of albums.

“We’re extremely excited to be bringing the Metal Masters series back to the West Coast where it originated," Mark Menghi, Samsons Technologies Director of Marketing tells Revolver. He created the series a year ago. “And with the artists we have participating and the surprises we have planned, Metal Masters 3 is going to be the best one yet.”

In an interview with Noisecreep, Menghi teased a few big surprises. "As a big music fan myself, my whole approach with this is to bring something to the fans that they can't get anywhere else, for a low-priced ticket. We think we have something really special lined up for April, and I can tell you this, too - as we have learned, there are always a few amazing surprises."

Tonight's show in Hollywood begins at 7PM PT.
