Bands That Should Be Rocking Halftime at the Super Bowl – Readers Poll
Classic rockers have been all over the Super Bowl halftime show in the last decade, what with everybody from Paul McCartney and Bruce Springsteen to Tom Petty and the Who rocking what is easily the most watched concert performance of each and every year. Last Super Bowl things took a step back with the woeful Black Eyed Peas, and we doubt many rock fans are getting too excited for Madonna's appearance this year.
Earlier in the week we listed off our choices for the Top Five Super Bowl Halftime Performances, then offered up our picks for the Five Bands That Should Be Performing At Super Bowl XLVI Instead of Madonna. Although not everybody agreed with what we came up, we got some excellent feedback, as readers offered up dozens of more possibilities for possible Super Bowl halftime acts.
And now it's your turn! Combining our picks with the most popular reader suggestions, we've come up with a list of 12 alternatives to the Material Girl. Vote below for which act you'd rather see hitting the Super Bowl stage during halftime -- who knows, maybe you'll get your wish. It's obviously too late to save this year's gig, but there's a big, gaping hole in the lineup for next year's entertainment at Super Bowl XLVII in New Orleans.
