The enduring popularity of Kiss over various lineups has shown the importance of having a backup at the ready. A new animated commercial for Android phones emphasizes this by using Kiss' classic 'Rock and Roll All Nite.'

In the clip (titled 'Phone Drop'), which you can watch above, a pedestrian is crossing the street when, suddenly, he drops his phone. But before he can pick it up, it is repeatedly run over (including by a train), jackhammered and stomped on Monty Python-style, before a giant stretch limo stops on top of it.

The car pulls away to reveal the four members of Kiss. As 'Rock and Roll All Nite' plays, Gene Simmons takes one of his giant platform boots and his bass to the phone. But whatever fear may set in because of the complete annihilation of the phone is allayed by the knowledge that his all the information on his phone is automatically backed up. He says, "Eh," and dances to the music.

Kiss' music can be heard on screens both big and small these days. In addition to this new commercial, 'Detroit Rock City' is used in the trailer for 'Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2,' and, on Nov. 27, the band will perform at this year's Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
