A little over two years after arriving with their debut, Adler have started recording some new material.

The band, named after and led by former Guns N' Roses drummer Steven Adler, struggled to promote 2012's 'Back from the Dead' due to a stint in rehab that forced him to cancel a string of tour dates, but nearly a year after reclaiming his sobriety, Adler is ready to get back to work.

News of the new recordings surfaced on the group's Facebook page via a Dec. 22 post that included a band photo with a caption reading in part, "We went back in the studio last week and recorded a new song with Jeff Pilson producing. We're looking forward to 2015!"

Pilson, who's a member of Foreigner as well as a busy producer and prolific songwriter whose recent credits include heavy involvement in the latest Starship album, shed a little light on the Adler sessions during an appearance on the Double Stop podcast, explaining that while new music is on the way, fans probably shouldn't hold their breath for a full-length album.

"I don't know if we're gonna do a whole record," Pilson mused. "I think we're gonna just do a couple of songs, because it's kind of, like, 'Why bother doing a whole record these days?' But his juices are flowing, so we started in on that today, and that's gonna be great."
