ZZ Top Announce 2012 Tour with All-Star ‘Gang of Outlaws’
In what should prove to be a fun warmup lap before they really start promoting their upcoming Rick Rubin-produced 15th studio album, ZZ Top have announced a new leg of U.S. tour dates.
Dubbed the 'Gang of Outlaws Tour,' the latest dates find ZZ Top taking the road as the headliners on a triple bill that also includes 3 Doors Down and country star Gretchen Wilson. Said Top member Billy Gibbons in a press release, "We’re really looking forward to working with the guys from 3 Doors Down and Gretchen to. If we may borrow from the late, great Robert Johnson, clear those stones from the passway on this phenomenal tour. The Gang of Outlaws is ready to ride!"
Added 3 Doors Down singer Brad Arnold, "The tour is huge! We have the honor to share the stage with some amazing artists, including one of my favorite bands, ZZ Top! We can’t wait to bring Gang of Outlaws to your town."
"Obviously I couldn’t be more excited that I am to be part of this tour," said Wilson. "Fabulous guys, fabulous musicians!"
