With the confirmed March 15 grand opening of the Kiss-branded mini-golf course and entertainment center in Las Vegas fast approaching, guitarist Tommy Thayer has gone on the record to say: "it's gonna be over the top!"

The Kiss By Monster Mini Golf complex will feature an all-indoor, glow-in-the-dark, custom-designed 18-hole golf course, complete with a live DJ spinning Kiss favorites all night and every day. "It's gonna take miniature golf to a whole other level," promises Thayer.

Cool, but will it have a hole featuring Gene Simmons' head, with the ball rolling over the top of his tongue? "Count on it," says Tommy. "We're taking over! It's gonna be gangbusters!" Eighteen holes will cost $11.95 per person and you can book your tee times in advance here.

And, as previously reported, it will be way more than just mini golf, with a state-of-the-art video game arcade, a private VIP room for private parties, a Kiss gallery, the ‘Rock ‘n’ Roll All Nite’ Cafe, “the largest Kiss gift shop in the world," the ‘Hotter Than Hell’ wedding chapel and much more Kiss-themed craziness planned.

Meanwhile, Thayer is in Vegas this weekend to judge the Kiss Off battle of the cover bands to find the best Kiss tribute band in the world. More than 100 bands have been whittled down for the semi-finals, with the top four bands -- Kiss Forever, Mr. Speed, Rock and Roll Over and Kissteria -- all rocking out Sunday afternoon at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino.

The winning band will perform at the Kiss mini-golf course grand opening on March 15 and take home a fabulous prize pack that includes a complete set of authentic Kiss costumes and lifetime passes to the course.
