After a four-year layoff, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers will return on July 29 with their 13th studio album, 'Hypnotic Eye' -- and not long after, they'll embark on a series of dates with special guest Steve Winwood.

The tour, which begins in San Diego on August 3, includes the band's already-announced headline performances at San Francisco's Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival and at the Lockn' Festival in Arrington, Va. As previously rumored, the new dates include the group's first-ever performance at Boston's Fenway Park, scheduled to take place Labor Day weekend.

All tickets come with a copy of 'Hypnotic Eye,' which will arrive in stores in CD, digital, Blu-ray, and vinyl formats; the vinyl will be available as either a single- or double-LP version, including an additional track not available in any other format. Pre-orders for the vinyl, CD and Blu-ray editions will open on and Amazon starting June 3; beginning the same day, fans can also pre-order the digital edition on iTunes or Amazon, including an instant download of an as-yet unnamed album cut.

For members of the band's Highway Companions Fan Club, special ticket presales are also an option, as well as a list of 2014 member bonuses that includes a CD copy of 'Hypnotic Eye' and a digital download of an exclusive new concert recording 'Live 2013,' featuring 11 Petty-selected performances from the Heartbreakers' residencies in New York and Los Angeles, plus tracks recorded at last year's Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival.

Petty told Rolling Stone that the new record leans heavily on the Heartbreakers' rock side, saying that guitarist Mike Campbell told him, "'You sing like you did on the first two albums.' Maybe this album does sound like that. But it's that band 30 years later. ... It would be very hard to make this record without a band that has been together this long, with those kinds of instincts. I'm relieved to have that."
