Money can't buy you love, but it can pay for some pretty cool swag, and country/pop phenomenon Taylor Swift is rumored to be dropping a big chunk of it in order to secure some classic Beatles memorabilia for her boyfriend, One Direction member Harry Styles.

According to the latest and greatest gossip from Perez Hilton (via BeatlesNews, we swear), Taylor's gift hunt is partially motivated by a trip to the English countryside during which Styles helped Swift celebrate her 23rd birthday by dropping roughly $1,800 on a party spread that included 23 cupcakes (and, we hope, a whole lot more; otherwise, he really needs to find a more affordable bakery).

"Now she wants to repay the favor -- and then some," an "insider" is quoted as saying. "She’s been phoning Beatles stores in Liverpool hoping to find pieces of rare autographed memorabilia she knows Harry will love. A staff member at one store let slip she wanted to spend somewhere between £40,000 and £50,000." (At current exchange rates, that's about $81,000, or roughly one-fiftieth of whatever Swift stands to make from the inevitable kiss-off song inspired by the couple's eventual breakup.)

That's an awful lot of money for a Christmas present, but as any hardcore Fab Four fan could tell you, it's actually a lot less than a person could spend on autographed Beatles memorabilia -- in fact, right now, the most expensive eBay item autographed by all four members is listed at $495,000, so maybe we should be applauding Swift's restraint.
