From the familiar ("Always on My Mind") to the obscure ("County Line"), Pretenders leader enlists friends for collaborative solo LP.

The album's first single, a cover of the classic "Always on My Mind," is already available.

She explains controversial comments about fans recording shows and regular attendees hogging the front row.

"You would not believe how entitled some people think they are," Pretenders leader says.

Pretenders are the opening band on GNR's current tour.

Pretenders frontwoman was at the university in May 1970 when the National Guard shot four students.

"It’s absolutely nothing to do with rock ‘n’ roll and anyone who thinks it is is a fool."

She's planning more tour dates but won't wait for release to tie in with them.

She deliberately avoided playing the Pretenders' best-known songs.
