Sting is gearing up to join country superstar Vince Gill for the latest installment of 'CMT Crossroads,' where the network pairs stars from different genres for a night of unforgettable music making. The two Grammy award-winning artists are set to collaborate for the special in the coming weeks, with an air date slated for November.

"These are two Hall of Famers who, by our count, have 36 Grammys between them," says John Hamlin of CMT. "Both artists have wanted to do 'Crossroads' for years, and this is the perfect pairing for them. They have been waiting for the right time, and now is the time. This is going to be an unforgettable evening."

The taping of the 'CMT Crossroads' with Gill and Sting will take place in New York City in the coming weeks. It will mark the first 'Crossroads' taped in the Big Apple in over five years. Previous popular pairings for the fan-favorite show have included LeAnn Rimes with Joss Stone, and most recently, Luke Bryan with the Doobie Brothers.

This collaboration marks the second time in the past several months that Gill has teamed up with an artist in the rock world. Gill recently lent his guitar playing talents to 'Runaway Train,' a song that will appear on Alice Cooper's forthcoming album 'Welcome 2 My Nightmare.'
