Former Led Zeppelin frontman Robert Plant will be performing at the Gloucester Guildhall located in Gloucester, UK on Tuesday May 8. While Plant playing a show might not be typically news-worthy, what makes the Guildhall show such a special occasion is the fact that the venue capacity is 400 people.

Glucester Guidhall's Joe Schiavon said: "It gives me great pleasure to announce Led Zeppelin frontman and award-winning solo artist Robert Plant will be performing an exclusive low-key warm-up show at Gloucester Guildhall next month. This is obviously a massive show for us, and we can't wait to host it.

Plant's new band the Sensational Space Shifters is made up of one of his previous backing bands, the Strange Sensation (John Baggott, Clive Deamer, Billy Fuller, Skin Tyson) with the addition of blues guitarist Justin Adams. The Space Shifters say their sound is inspired by “the roots music of Mississippi, Appalachia, Gambia, Bristol and the foothills of Wolverhampton.”

Last month, Plant announced that he will be performing in Clarksdale, Mississippi when he headlines the 25th anniversary edition of the Sunflower River Blues and Gospel Festival, taking place between August 10 and 12.

Tickets for Robert Plant's Gloucester Guildhall go on sale on Friday for £35 per head. There is a limit of four tickets per person. To buy, call 01452 503050 or visit www.gloucesterguildhall.co.uk.
