Paul Stanley – Iron Men of Rock

Even ignoring the fact that he's more costume-ready for a superhero role than anybody else on this list, Paul Stanley of Kiss clearly deserves a place on our Iron Men of Rock list.

Did you ever read that comic where Superman kept a sinking ocean liner afloat long enough for all the passengers to safely escape? Well, that's pretty much what Stanley did for Kiss in the '80s. First, he helped revive them after their career hit rock bottom -- partially by revealing their secret identities to the world, by the way -- and then he pretty much single-handedly kept them relevant while Gene Simmons was off making movies. Despite multiple hip surgeries, he's remained the strutting king of the stage, as well.
