It seems Sir Paul McCartney has no intention of spending his 'golden years' on the front porch reminiscing about the old days. He's too busy looking at the road ahead. With a new album, 'Kisses On The Bottom', due out on Valentine's Day, word now comes that the man will be performing on this year's Grammy Awards broadcast, Feb. 12.

Sir Paul will be honored as the 2012 Musicares "Person of the Year" for his countless contributions to both  music and philanthropy. In addition, his classic 1973 album, 'Band On The Run,' is nominated in the 'Best Historical Album' category. The album's title song previously won a Grammy in 1974 for 'Best Pop Vocal Performance By a Duo Or Group.' The landmark disc was given the deluxe re-issue treatment last year as part of an ongoing reissue series of McCartney's back catalog.

The Grammy Awards are certainly not new territory for Mr. McCartney to conquer. He already has 14 of them to his name, dating all the way back to 1965 when he was a member of some band called the Beatles.

Need we say, rock on Sir Paul!
