Meat Loaf Endorses Mitt Romney Before Bizarre Performance of ‘America the Beautiful’
Meat Loaf was amongst three famous singers who joined Mitt Romney in Defiance, Ohio on Thursday night. The 'I Would Do Anything for Love' singer made a passionate speech endorsing the presidential candidate before taking part in an outlandish performance of 'America the Beautiful.'
Meatloaf (real name Marvin Lee Aday) said the 2012 election is the most important in the United States's history because, "there has storm clouds come over the United States. There is thunder storms over Europe. There are hail storms, and I mean major hail storms, in the Middle East. There are storms brewing through China, through Asia, through everywhere." He went on to express worries about Russia, backing Gov. Romney's plan for stronger diplomacy with Vladimir Putin. Randy Owen of the country group Alabama joined John Rich and Kenny Alphin of Big and Rich to sing 'America the Beautiful.' Watch video of that performance below and decide for yourself if Romney is energized or embarrassed by Meatloaf's singing.
