Frank Hannon of Tesla stopped by the upcoming episode of That Metal Show. You can watch a sneak peek of him play a 30-second guitar solo from the back of the audience above.

Despite the brevity, the clip shows Hannon displaying his impressive chops on his cherry red Gibson SG, moving from power chords to soloing. He concludes with some whammy bar dive bombing and a pick slide.

Last year, Tesla released Simplicity, which featured the single, "So Divine." Hannon told Ultimate Classic Rock that the album's title, which came from a line in the song, "Mp3," had a very personal meaning. "I’m always trying to simplify my life, and it’s very difficult to do with such a busy schedule," he said. "It dawned on me that simplicity is everything that seems to be the key to happiness in life, and so I thought it would be a great album title."

In late June, Tesla will embark on a massive U.S. tour with Def Leppard and Styx that will take them through early October. You can get all the dates here.

That Metal Show airs on VH1 Classic on Saturdays at 9PM Eastern. You can watch past episodes at their website.
