Jimmy Bain, bassist and co-founder of Dio, has been released on $60K bail after a Tuesday night DUI arrest in Burbank, Calif. The 64-year-old was in a car accident, and when police arrived they suspected Bain was under the influence of something other than alcohol.

TMZ reports that Bain was booked for misdemeanor DUI and felony possession of prescription medications. They found Vicodin pills that were not prescribed. He failed a field sobriety test and was arrested around 9:30PM.

In addition the bassist -- who also played with Rainbow, Phil Lynott and Wild Horses before forming Dio with Ronnie James Dio in 1983 -- had an outstanding drug warrant. He left Dio in 2004, and most recently has played with Hollywood Allstarz, a Los Angeles area covers band that includes members of Quiet Riot and Lynch Mob.
