If this isn't proof that kids ruin everything we don't know what is! No, we're kidding, of course. However, it is true that it'd be a sad day should Elton John decide to say goodbye to the yellow brick road that is his illustrious music career in order for him to raise his 19-month-old son -- Zachary.

It appears that the little tyke is getting older (as we thought he might) and in the process he has warmed the heart of the 'Your Song' crooner and pianist. In talking to the BBC, Elton explained, "I'm going to keep working. When Zachary goes to school, that's another different thing. I want to take him to school and I want to pick him up. I don't want to miss that part of his childhood."

Should Elton decide to venture out of the music industry and live the life of a stay-at-home father, we're curious as to how easily he'll take to the change. He's expressed fears in the past regarding Zachary's peers vilifying him as he gets older for his somewhat unconventional family, noting that he feels a certain amount of guilt over the fact that Zachary will grow up without a mother, which is most likely the reason for his possible decision.

And for those of you who were thinking that after Zachary is grown up a bit, Elton will turn his attention 100% towards music again, we apologize. The 65-year-old father states, "I'd love to have more children. I want Zachary to have a brother or a sister to go to school with him, and so that he can have someone to play with." Who would have know the one and only Elton John to be a family man. Age is quite amazing!
