Brian Wilson Shares Rare Beach Boys Christmas Classic

Brian Wilson has given fans an early Christmas present by releasing an exclusive stream of the Beach Boys holiday classic 'Little Saint Nick' in its original form on his official blog. This version was recorded in October 1963, several months before the band began recording their 1964 record ’The Beach Boys Christmas Album.'

"This version with the 'Little St. Nick' lyrics remained unreleased until Mark Linett discovered it while preparing the first CD releases of the Capitol Beach Boys catalog, and it first saw the light of day as a bonus track on a now out of print CD edition of the 1964 'Beach Boys Christmas Album,' reads a post with the track.

Meanwhile, as previously announced, the Beach Boys plan to celebrate their 50th anniversary next year with a reunion album and tour that will bring back core members Brian Wilson, Mike Love, Al Jardine, Bruce Johnston and David Marks. The trek will kick off in April with a headlining performance at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, while they have already begun recording the album.
