Until now, it's been difficult for Metallica fans to properly express their allegiance to the band whilst skiing. Fortunately, thanks to the folks at Armada Skis, that's all about to change.

The metal vets announced in a recent Facebook post that they'd joined forces with Armada to create their own line of skis, writing, "It’s no secret that 3/4 of the band enjoy our snow sports (Kirk is sticking to the water for now!) so we’re excited to announce that we have hooked up with Armada Skis to create a line of Metallica skis for you to cruise around the mountains on."

More information is available at the band's site, where they divulge that their new line of snow gear is available to dealers now, and will arrive at retail in September. "The Armada x Metallica collaboration consists of two skis, the Invictus 95Ti all mountain ski and the JJ 2.0 powder ski," reads the post. "There will also be a Hans windbreaker jacket and Decker Gloves, all with Metallica 'Master of Puppets' based artwork created by Armada’s graphics team with creative input from us."

The skis are available to pre-order now, with the clothing to follow this fall.

In other Metallica corporate news, the band played a gig for San Francisco-based Salesforce.com on Feb. 9, taking the stage on Pier 48 for a 14-song set. Check out fan-shot footage from the show below.
