Wish a happy birthday this month to Keith Emerson, keyboardist for legendary rockers Emerson, Lake & Palmer. The musician, born Nov. 2, 1944, is celebrating his 68th birthday.

With Emerson, Lake & Palmer, the keyboardist was instrumental in crafting such classic tracks as 'Lucky Man,' 'From the Beginning,' and 'Welcome Back My Friends to the Show That Never Ends.' His mastery of the keyboard, synthesizer, organ, and piano made him one of the most respected musicians of his era.

After ELP's split in 1979, Emerson continued with Emerson, Lake & Powell and also served a stint with the band 3.
