Joe Elliott – August 2012 Classic Rock Birthdays

Def Leppard singer and frontman Joe Elliot, who turns 53 on Aug. 1, has already had a great summer.

His band's been on a successful tour with fellow rockers Poison since June, and their music was featured prominently in the hit (well, maybe that's pushing it...) film 'Rock of Ages' as well.

Ever since the birth of Def Leppard back in the 70s, Elliot has been an integral part of the band's songwriting, pulling from his eclectic tastes for to help bring unique touches to the band's hard-hitting sound.
