In 1993, Jack Bruce held a two-day bash to celebrate his 50th birthday. The video from those concerts will be released on Dec. 2 as 'Rockpalast: The 50th Birthday Concerts.'

At the show recorded at the E-Werk in Cologne, Germany, the Cream bassist, who died last month, runs through his extensive back catalog with a lineup that includes Simon Phillips and his former Cream bandmate Ginger Baker on drums, Gary Moore and Clem Clempson on guitar and Bernie Worrell on keyboards. The sets include full-throated versions of 'Sunshine of Your Love,' complete with a horn section (which you can watch above), and 'Running Through Our Hands' performed with pianist Gary Husband.

The chemistry between Bruce, Baker and Moore from these shows prompted them to form the power trio BBM the following year. Their only album, 'Around the Next Dream,' reached the Top 10 in the U.K.

The concerts will be sold as a Special Edition DVD/CD, a CD/DVD Digipack, a DVD and digitally. The Special Edition adds a DVD of interviews and documentary footage, two 12-page booklets and a bonus CD called 'The Lost Tracks.' The Digipack features only the bonus CD and one of the booklets.
