Drummer Matt Sorum Announces Engagement to Adriane ‘Ace’ Harper

Former Guns N' Roses drummer Matt Sorum reportedly has revealed plans to marry his girlfriend of seven years, singer Adriane "Ace" Harper of the electro-rock outfit Diamond Baby, in May 2012 at Villa del Palmar on the Islands of Loreto in Mexico. Representatives from the resort revealed the pending nuptials exclusively to RadarOnline.com.

Sorum, who recently celebrated his 51st birthday during a romantic getaway with Adriane at Villa del Palmar, is rumored to be opening a club nearby on Loreto next year with fellow rockers Duff McKagan, Aerosmith's Joe Perry, ZZ Top's Billy Gibbons and Cheap Trick's Robin Zander. Besides his turn in GN'R, Sorum's best known as a former drummer of the Cult and current drummer of Velvet Revolver, although VR have been on an indefinite hiatus since singer Scott Weiland left the supergroup in 2008.

The happy couple appeared on the VH1 show 'Rock Wives' together and now seem ready to make Harper's title as a "rock wife" official. But don't think that's her only identity -- she's definitely better known for her turn as a professional dancer and for fronting Diamond Baby. Sorum also plays in Diamond Baby, who released their debut video, 'The Last Rockstar,' this summer.
