Def Leppard are amongst the most requested bands in Rock Band history, and this Tuesday, Aug. 9, video gamers and fans of the legendary '80s rock band will finally get their fix. Five of the band's most iconic tracks and one new song will be available for download, along with Pro Guitar and Pro Bass upgrades.

“We are thrilled to be a part of this Rock Band six-pack release," Def Leppard guitarist Phil Collen says on the Rock Band website. "It's almost like releasing a new album. We're psyched to be out on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii."

Among the six songs are 'Bringin' on the Heartache' from 1981's 'High 'n' Dry' album; 'Photograph' and 'Rock of Ages' from 1983's 'Pyromania' album; and three songs from the band's most album 'Mirrorball: Live and More,' including live versions of 'Animal' and 'Pour Some Sugar on Me' (both originally on 1987's 'Hysteria') and the new song 'Undefeated.'

Each track begins at $1.99 (depending on your gaming system) and all six tracks are available for $9.99 on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii. The response to this news was overwhelmingly positive on the Rock Band Fan Forum, with one fan calling it the best day in the history of the video game. Def Leppard are currently on the 'Mirror Ball' 2011 tour with Heart.
