It's not an overstatement to call this man a southern-rock icon. He's in his mid-30s in this picture taken from Robert E. Lee High School. While at first his name was a punch line, it later became his ticket to fame and fortune. Do you think you know whose yearbook photo this is?

To be fair, it's not clear if this short-haired guy ever picked up a guitar or even sang a note in his life. He admittedly didn't care for the long-haired rockers of his day ... as four of his students found out one day. After teaching, he'd go into real estate and then open a couple of bars that he named after himself. In time, he became friends with the very people who mocked him.
