Beach Boys genius Brian Wilson was the mastermind behind the classic 'Pet Sounds,' and on June 20 he'll be hearing the sound of candles blowing out to mark his 70th birthday.

Wilson's falsetto is amongst the most recognizable in rock history, as he led his band into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with such classics as 'California Girls,' 'Help Me Rhonda,' and 'Good Vibrations.'

Over the last decade, Wilson's reclaimed his musical inspiration with his solo work. 'Smile' was perhaps the most heralded solo effort of his career. After several years apart, Wilson has rejoined the Beach Boys earlier this year for what's expected to be one of the summer's biggest tours with a new album to follow.
