Billy Joel Joins Paul McCartney for ‘I Saw Her Standing There’ at Yankee Stadium

Paul McCartney brought out old buddy Billy Joel at his Saturday night show at Yankee Stadium, and the two proceeded to tear through a rousing rendition of the Beatles classic 'I Saw Her Standing There.'

It was the second of two shows for McCartney at the new home of baseball's evil empire. According to our reviewer, Friday night's show was as awesome as anyone could hope for, but Sir Paul apparently wanted to add even more star power the next night.

It's the third time the duo have shared the stage on a baseball field in the last few years. McCartney helped Joel close Shea Stadium back in 2008 with the same song, then the next year Joel was the guest as Paul played the first show at the Mets' new Citi Field.

The astronauts on the Space Shuttle Atlantis recently got a nice wake-up call from McCartney, who wished good luck to the final shuttle mission's crew with a taped greeting and a performance of 'Good Day Sunshine.'
