The only professionally filmed concert in the complicated history of beloved cult band Big Star will make its way to DVD, CD and vinyl this fall.

Titled 'Live in Memphis,' the show was recorded in Memphis on Oct. 29, 1994, during what was billed at the time as the final stop on the group's unexpected reunion tour. Featuring a lineup that included founding members Alex Chilton and Jody Stephens alongside new recruits (and devoted acolytes) Jon Auer and Ken Stringfellow of the Posies, it finds the band running through a 20-song set list heavy with fan favorites -- perfect for a long-overdue homecoming.

"This second life for Big Star begins on April 25, 1993, in Columbia, Mo.," wrote Stringfellow. "The performance gets recorded and released. We now have a record to support and a reason to tour. A handful of dates far and wide followed, but then an offer came from the New Daisy to play Memphis. Pretty exciting! Walking into the New Daisy that night brought on a rush of ’70s friends I hadn’t seen in years ... Stepping onstage that night in Memphis with Alex, Jon, and Ken was an incredibly good time and a bit of magic. It wasn’t so much that we were playing to the audience as we were sharing the music with them, and they were sharing themselves with us. We all cared."

'Live in Memphis' isn't due for release until Nov. 4, but pre-orders are already running through Omnivore Recordings. Take a look at the complete track listing below.
