Starting today, comedy-rock band Tenacious D are streaming their upcoming record 'Rize of the Fenix' on their website. With a release date of May 14 in Europe and May 15 in North America, the duo's new record marks their first release since 2006's 'The Pick of Destiny.' Which, as they'll gleefully tell you, was a bomb, or rather, "a stinky pile of cheese." No such worries on this collection, from what we've heard.

The Foo Fighters' Dave Grohl anchors the band behind the drum kit, as he has done on the D's other two records. The 13-track 'Rize of the Fenix' was produced by John Kimbrough. Comprised of actor Jack Black and Kyle Gass, Tenacious D have become legends to their fans, infusing their songs with an at-times vulgar but ultimately hilarious sense of humor and a true understanding of the majesty and mythology of rock and roll.

It looks like a busy summer ahead for Tenacious Dm with a tour in support of 'Rize of the Fenix' slated to start on May 23 in Santa Barbara, Calif. You can get the complete list of tour dates right here.
