While services for personal friends and family of late Bee Gees star Robin Gibb were announced earlier in the week, more details have surfaced showing Gibbs true dedication to his fans, even in his ailing state.

A private memorial will take place on Friday, June 8, at St. Mary’s Church in Oxfordshire for those closest to Gibb but new details have been disclosed that prior to the services, a glass carriage drawn by horses will transport Gibb’s coffin through the town of Thame, allowing local fans to say their final goodbyes.

According to the Daily Express, Gibb’s family released a statement regarding the procession, saying, “At his wish, he will say a final goodbye to fans and his hometown of Thame, Oxon, this Friday prior to the funeral."

In addition, there will also be a larger public memorial in September at St. Paul’s Cathedral to honor Gibb's career that spanned six decades.

Robin Gibb passed away on May 20 at the age of 62. He battled cancer during the last year of his life and the official cause of death was kidney failure, brought on by chemotherapy and the sedatives needed to battle the side effects of the disease.
