Eddie Van Halen – Awesome Rock Dads

How awesome of a rock dad is Eddie Van Halen? He set up his son (Wolfgang) with one of the coolest jobs in the world -- bass player for Van Halen.

Some fans still lament the loss of original bassist Michael Anthony, but it's pretty tough to argue that Wolfgang isn't earning his own place in Van Halen. As his mother, actress Valerie Bertinelli declared in a recent interview, without her son's energy and organization Van Halen may not have gotten back together for their 2012 album and tour.

As Eddie himself puts it, "Every once in a while when we’re playing, I’ll look over at him and be so damn proud. I just get such a proud feeling being on stage with my son." The guitarist also named '316,' an instrumental song from the group's 1991 album 'For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge' after Wolfgang's birthday.
